I am a mental health professional with over 15 years of experience working in community-based and nonprofit settings, including four years providing direct counselling support. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals through mental health challenges, trauma, periods of change, and difficult life transitions.
I hold a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto, with a specialization in Human Services, Leadership, and Management. My experience includes counselling, crisis intervention, case management, and group facilitation, giving me a broad understanding of the many personal and systemic factors that can affect our mental health and well-being.
My approach to counselling is trauma-informed, client-centred, and grounded in equity and compassion. I integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches with a strengths-based perspective, while recognizing that each person brings their own experiences, identities, needs, and hopes into the counselling space.
Above all, I aim to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself one that is supportive, collaborative, and free from judgment. Together, we can explore what you are experiencing, build on the strengths you already have, and work toward meaningful and sustainable change.
Therapeutic Approaches: Mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy techniques.
Outside of work, I enjoy the things that help me stay connected, creative, and grounded.
I enjoy slowing down and making time for the things that bring me joy, such as: caring for my ever-growing collection of houseplants, cooking and crafting, watching a good movie, and spending time in nature with my Bernese Mountain Dog, Otis. I also enjoy volunteering in my community, playing in a pickleball league, and spending time in one of my favourite roles, being an Auntie to four wonderful kiddos.
